at the occasion of MPN (Myeloproliferative Neoplasms) Global Awareness Day
[Read the attached Invitation Letter]
I have been living with an MPN (myeloproliferative neoplasm, a blood cancer) for almost 20 years now. This situation has cost me some worries and discomfort, but mostly, it has blessed me with opportunities in life that I would never otherwise have explored. One of these is my engagement with patient groups, and raising the patient's voice in matters of health care and treatment research.
To do this even better, over the past two years I have been following an intensive program offered by MPN Pathways, the educational unit of the global MPN Research Foundation. Over the Summer, I have concluded this program, and I am now a certified MPNRF Patient Voice and Research Fellow, which gives me a pass into the world of global MPN Research Grant organizations.
To celebrate this special day, with my friend and colleague Mark Stolow (founder of People Before Patients, in which I am an advisory board member), I will be doing an online People-Need-People Warm Data Lab.
Warm Data Lab is s story-sharing format developed by Nora Bateson under the wing of the International Bateson Institute. Both Mark and I are accredited Warm Data Lab hosts.
It would be so lovely if you would care to attend. Let me know of your intention to join,
